Picture Solutions for Realtor.com 1. Your listing must have Public Viewable set to Yes and Exclusive Agency set to No before you add listing pictures to the listing in the MLS. If you do not have these settings correctly selected neither the listing information nor the pictures will be sent to Realtor.com. If you correct Public Viewable and/or Exclusive Agency any day after uploading the pictures to the MLS, the listing information will be sent to Realtor.com. The picture(s) will not be sent as only pictures loaded since the last file creation are included. If you want the picture(s) to be sent with the listing, you must delete and reload them. 2. How do you put a replacement picture on Realtor.com? The replacement procedure is determined by how the original picture(s) was added to Realtor.com. (See the Verify How Your Picture was Added to Realtor.com at the bottom of this page.) Select the description below that best describes your situation. A. You do not pay Realtor.com for one of their premium services and your picture was sent to Realtor.com automatically from the MLS, follow the steps below. (Your picture's Address (URL) has the word "listings" in it.)
B. You do pay Realtor.com for a premium service. If you added your pictures from the Realtor.com toolbar or sent the pictures to a Realtor.com Customer Service person to have them added, follow the steps below. (Your pictures' Address (URL) has the word "submit" in it.)
Verify How Your Picture was Added to Realtor.com Pictures are either added automatically from an MLS send file and are called "listing" pictures, or they are uploaded directly by the agent or a Realtor.com Customer Service person and are called "submitted" pictures. Once a picture is flagged as a "submitted" picture all subsequent replacement pictures must be uploaded by the agent or a Realtor.com representative. A "submitted" picture cannot be replaced automatically by a "listing" picture (one that is included in the MLS automatic upload.) To determine if a picture on Realtor.com got there as a result of an agent or Customer Service person uploading it or by an automatic send from the MLS, you need to look at the picture in Realtor.com. Go to your listing in Realtor.com then right-click on the picture. On the dropdown menu select Properties to display the Properties window as shown below. The word "listings", which is underlined in red, indicates the picture is at Realtor.com as the result of being included in an automatic MLS send.
However, if you right-click the picture, select Properties from the dropdown menu and see the word "submit" (as shown below), you know the picture on Realtor.com is the result of you or a Realtor.com representative manually putting the picture on the listing. If you want to replace the picture, you must contact Realtor.com or use your Realtor.com toolbar to upload the picture. (The Realtor.com toolbar can be used by agents who subscribe to a Realtor.com premium service.) Replacing the picture in the MLS will not change the picture on Realtor.com.
